My favorit - After traditional school of painting, which has summoned rules upon rules of how to make art, I find this book very refreshing. It is so true what Nita says that creating art should be fun. Whether you are a beginner or a skilled artist, this book is worth reading just for that idea s sake.It is true, that to achieve good results using Nita s technique (and maybe using any other technique) one has to have some drawing skills, light/shadow and color understanding. Moreover one has to have a great deal of faith in one self. I must though say that watercolor, unfortunately, will not paint itself unless there is a vision and skills behind it. This all will come. So, beginners don t panic. Even though this book won t turn anyone into great watercolorists overnight, its ideas have a potential to raise true artists. Don t miss it.
Interesting Book - I thought great, a book that will really help me as a beginner start to paint some great pictures. When I got the book I enjoyed looking through it but failed to see how i was going to be able to paint such pictures. I think the title is misleading somewhat. I know it doesn t state that it is for beginners but it does suggest that. In fact I think you need some experience before tackling this book. I am sure that if I was a more accomplished painter I would really like this book, but I am not and therefore I felt somewhat disappointed and let down.A great book if you can paint already, but not if you are a beginner.
Beautiful book - I have loved just looking through this book she makes me feel that I could achieve the same effects & it all looks so easy. I m hesitating to put her advice into practice in case I fail at the first attempt but even if I do I ll still have her lovely pictures to look at.
misleading title - As a beginner I did not find this book helpful. Lovely paintings but way out of my range.
This book gets you started right away. - I started getting creditable watercolours soon after reading this lovely book. My confidence went up and up the more I used the techniques described so well by the author. I can recommend this book to any budding artist.
